Packing and shipping

Wait for approval before shipping.

Your accepted proposal contains your collection-specific receiving instructions. Request written receiving instructions before you ship. Please do not send to an address found elsewhere.

Who pays for shipping?

You pay shipping to Mr. Mom and prepay return shipping and agreed coverage for unsold items, unless we agree to an exception in writing before shipment. We confirm packing, carrier and costs before you ship.

Prepare the items

Agree on coverage first

Confirm inbound postage, carrier restrictions, declared value, insurance coverage and exclusions, signature requirements, and loss responsibility before sending valuable items. Nationwide intake is by approval; buyer checkout destinations do not establish inbound coverage.

When the package arrives

We record receipt and condition, then reconcile the contents against your estimate. Receipt does not mean inventory is approved for listing. You will review that separately.

Returning unsold inventory

Agree on costs and destination in writing. Staff record tracking and each returned item before closing the collection. Buyer refunds follow the store’s buyer policy; consignor returns follow the consignment proposal.
